Sono stati resi pubblici i risultati del prestigioso World Whiskies Award, organizzato dal Whisky Magazine (giuria è presieduta da David Broom)
Visto che i premi sono tanti iniziamo col dire che il miglior single malt è stato giudicato lo Yamazaki, scelto tra trecento contendenti.

La distilleria Suntory, oltre ad aver vinto nel miglior single malt si è aggiudicata anche il premio più prestigioso nella categoria Blend, cosa mai successa prima nella storia del premio.
