American Distilling Institute: premi 2013

Dopo i premi del 2012, ecco cosa ha decretato la giuria dell’American Distilling Istitute per il 2013. Prima di entrare in dettaglio con il freddo elenco alcune considerazioni.

La Corsair distillery fa incetta di premi anche quest’anno.

Abbiamo una interessante “hopped whisky”, contaminazione dell’industria biraria. Da quel che so sono proprio distillati di birra luppolata (e non di un mash senza luppolo come avviene di solito). E’ una alternativa al buttare la birra venuta male. Sarei curioso di provarlo, giusto per parlarne male anche se in realtà ho fatto prove di distillazione con luppolo in infusione e gli aromi sono passati al distillato…A questo punto riprovo. 

Si parla di “grappa” anche se il nome non potrebbe essere usato fuori da Italia e Ticino, non è proprio correttissimo, ma fa nulla.
